Federico Vegas (Caracas, 18 March 1950), is a Venezuelan writer and architect. Author of the historical novel Falke, which has achieved significant sales for the local book market.[1]

Studied primary education in the San Ignacio School of Caracas. In 1976, graduated as architect in the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). Has been professor of Architectural Design at the UCV, Design in Princeton University (1983) and visiting scholar in Harvard University (1995). From 1994 to 1999, had a column about architecture in El Nacional. Is the author of books about architecture such as: El Continente de Papel (1984), Pueblos (1979-1984-1986), Venezuelan Vernacular (1985), La Vega, una casa colonial (1988). Since 1996, is dedicated to narrative and essay.[2]
